30 Awesome Yogurt Add-Ins for Tots

Plain yogurt is such a healthy breakfast or snack option for little one. You can dress it up at home in more ways than we can count! If you’ve got some plain yogurt (I prefer Greek!) try dressing it up for your little one! Mix and match the options below to create your own yummy blends.

As always, be careful with nuts and honey!


Make it Sweeter:

  1. Honey (over 1)
  2. Maple syrup
  3. Agave Syrup
  4. Vanilla extract
  5. Orange extract
  6. Confectioners sugar
  7. Stevia
  8. A few drops of fruit juice

Add Some Flavor:

  1. Jam or Jelly
  2. Applesauce
  3. Frozen berries
  4. Cinnamon sugar
  5. Nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice
  6. Peanut, almond, or the butter
  7. Canned pumpkin
  8. Pie filling
  9. Mashed banana
  10. Peaches
  11. Kiwi
  12. Frozen fruit

Give it a Healthy Boost:

  1. Chia seeds
  2. Hemp seeds
  3. Spirulina
  4. Goji berries
  5. Avocado

Add Some Texture:

  1. Whole grain cereal
  2. Grated apple or carrot
  3. Coconut Flakes
  4. Pretzel pieces
  5. Raisins

  1. I make my own yogurt and try adding this in as many thing as I can.

  2. I think you’ve got it pretty well-covered. We have a mango tree, so we love adding mango puree.

  3. We usually just go with berries or sliced bananas. But mashed bananas would be even better. or applesauce. YUM!

    • I love taking something my kids already like, and adding new flavors to it! Such a great way to introduce new foods.

  7. Great ideas! My kids are 4 and 6 and SO PICKY. My son only likes yogurt that doesn’t have anything in it- just flavoring. I guess it’s a texture thing. I wonder if he would like the mango puree that mamaguru suggested, though….
